Forschungszentrum Jülich
Anna Magdalena van Doorn is a Postdoctoral researcher in the shoot dynamics group of Uwe Rascher at the Institute for Bio and Geosciences of Forschungszentrum Jülich. She is developing methods to quantify canopy structure of cassava field trials with the use of aerial imaging and Structure from Motion. She is using UAV-based field phenotyping techniques to investigate the different seasonal behaviour of various cassava varieties. In the CASS project she is using these techniques to help understand the functional differences in canopy structure and relate these to functional traits.
